Vejle Municipality has a strategic focus on three specific themes:

  • Food Innovation and Gastronomy
  • Sustainability, Green Tech and Resilience
  • Conferences and events

Food Innovation and Gastronomy

Food Innovation is a prioritized area of business and a Food Innovation House (FIH) is situated in the northern part of town at Dandy Business Park. In FIH, Vejle municipality has a food lab called Culinary Institute by Vejle Erhverv, where businesses can seek guidance in developing new cooking techniques or products. FIH has a test kitchen, a show room supermarket, food consultants and professionals to help businesses thrive in the area of Food Innovation.

One of Vejle’s many strong points is gastronomy. The city and area boast of culinary experiences: You can dine at Michelin star restaurant MeMu and in the art building of Fjordenhus designed by Olafur Eliasson. Vejle is ‘hip on the culinary scene’ offering No Waste lunches at Onkel A, several wine bars, cozy cafés, street food and unique shops with local produces. Sustainability, Green Tech and Resilience
